Abstract
Ethiopia’s exploitation of the confused Egyptian political events after the revolution (25/January /2011), has led to Ethiopia’s announcement that it will start building the Renaissance Dam, according to specifications different from those it negotiated before with Egypt and Sudan, and due to its high costs, several countries contributed to its financing, besides Ethiopia, including the United States and Israel, for political purposes, and the completion of the construction of the dam will reduce the historical water shares of Egypt and Sudan, and this will negatively affect agricultural and industrial production, and the food security of both. .
