Suggested educational units for teaching the art of public speaking for middle school students

Abstract :
This study was conducted in Iraq / Babil Governorate, and aimed to design educational units within the Arabic language to teach the art of public speaking for the intermediate stage according to the principles of constructivist learning. The researchers followed the descriptive approach in the research procedures as it is the appropriate method.
The educational content of public speaking has been built and perfected:
1 _ middle first grade
The number of topics for this class was (4) topics, namely:
The first topic: Defining the art of rhetoric, the characteristics of rhetoric, the emergence and development of rhetoric among the Greeks, Romans and in the pre-Islamic era
The second topic: the emergence and development of rhetoric in the Islamic and Umayyad era, the Abbasid era, and the modern era.
The third topic: The pillars of rhetoric (the introduction, the presentation, the conclusion), the elements of rhetoric (the orator, the addressee, the addressee(
The fourth topic: the benefits of public speaking, the qualities of a successful speech
2 _middle school
The number of topics for this class was (3) topics
The first topic: The preacher (his attributes, the characteristics of the distinguished preacher, the mistakes that the preacher makes(
The second topic: the addressee (the ruler, the audience, the audience), the types of audience: the audience by looking at the speech, the audience (the commoner, the educated, the scholar), the audience by looking at the preacher, the audience by looking at the speech.
The third topic: How to prepare for the sermon, the stages of preparing the sermon, the improvised sermon
3_ The third intermediate class.
The number of subjects for this class was (2) subjects
The first topic: types of rhetoric
The second topic: The art of recitation and its conditions
The above-mentioned topics included titles and sub-content that includes details of each item.
The researchers came out with conclusions, recommendations and suggestions for complementary research to the current research.
