Abstract

The ancient Arab works included many different narrative types of news، stories، stories، biographies، anecdotes and other narrative types. Among them was the news that consists of a group of elements like any other narrative type، and one of these elements that is characterized by the news is known as (the personality) which is an essential and important element of the narrative work، They are alongside other narrative elements from (an event، time and place) that work to shape the news، and the personality represents the element around which the news events revolve، and the character meets the rest of the other elements to form any narrative work، including the news، whoever is doing the event is the character، And whoever is present at a certain time and place is the personality، because the personality is an active narrative component، so no narrative work can be without a personality that carries out the events.
